Patrick was born in France and grew up in Italy. Now living mostly between Vienna and Italy when not on tour. He has performed throughout Europe, the USA, Asia and South America as a soloist and director with some of the most important orchestras and made several CD-recordings. At the moment two music discs for the classic-label Naxos USA are in production.
… as a Solo-Bassoonist, an extraordinary artist that started his career at the early age of 6 and keeps following his path with high inspiration, passion, dedication and success. He has studied the piano from age 6 and the bassoon from age 10 with world renown masters Marco Costantini, Milan Turkovic and Klaus Thunemann. Besides being the first solo-bassoonist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra for more than two decades now, he looks at an extensive solo-career as a bassoonist and conductor, performing around the world in prime international artistic events.

… as Teacher, Professor de Ritis has a sound curriculum on teaching chamber-music and bassoon, a passion on it’s own, that he has started at the age of 18. He has been teaching for many years in the Conservatory of Music ‘Luisa D’Annunzio’ in Pescara on a regular base and given master classes in international music festivals and some of the most important conservatories.
