Education

Patrick de Ritis started at the age of 8 years with piano lessons and with 13 years with intensive bassoon-training. For some years he played both instruments and later on with 17 he dedicated himself to the study oft he bassoon fulltime.
He studied bassoon among others:
– at the the Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome with Marco Costantini
– Mozarteum, Salzburg with Milan Turkovic
– with Klaus Klaus Thurnemann
And direction among others with:
– Michael Dittrich
– Franco Ferrara

Carrer and International Performances

1978 – Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, Italy – won the competition for the for the place as first solo-bassoonist, afterwards engagement till 1982
1978 – taught at the Conservatory in Lecce, Italy
1982 – Orchestra Regionale Toscana , Italy – won the competition for the place as first solo-bassoonist
1985 – RAI A. Scarlatti in Neapel, Italy – won the competition for the for the place as first solo-bassoonist, afterwards engagement till 1987
1987 – Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Italien – won the competition for the for the place as first solo-bassoonist, afterwards engagement till 1989
