Ortho-Bionomy®

Ortho-Bionomy® is holistic body and energy work. Gentle, pain-free impulses guide the body back to its own ideal posture. Ortho-Bionomy® does not correct or manipulate, but supports the organism in developing its individuality. This work leads to an original understanding of the incorrect or unhealthy posture and thus to a causal solution to the complaints. The qualified and practising expert Prof Rainer Hornek, former section leader of Vienna Symphony Orchestra, helps participants to find solutions for their personal needs.

Orchestra Audition Preparation

Auditions are undoubtedly one of the most important and demanding goals of a musical education, as they pave the way for an orchestral musician's professional instrumental career. Guillermo Büchler, concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, will explain and work on selected audition pieces for violin and viola with the participants. Please book in advance, the number of active participants is limited.

The Perfect String Instrument for Practicing
Requirements and Limits

Lecture and workshop with Jens Rossbach

Choosing the right instrument is of great importance for the career of a budding musician. This lecture aims to help sharpen this knowledge. When does the learner need which instrument? Where is the learner's current scope and what scope does the instrument used offer? When is the learning process efficient? Exactly when the instrument can reproduce the sound of what is being learnt. A suitable error tolerance of the instrument helps to reliably reproduce the learning progress achieved. If the instrument is so sensitive that it reacts immediately to the slightest changes, the learner may initially be overwhelmed. However, it should be flexible enough at all times to make a refining technique clearly audible. There are moments in the learning process when progress suddenly stagnates. Even attempts to overcome certain hurdles through hard work fail. A diversion then helps. This can also mean that a temporary switch to another instrument is very helpful. In many cases, however, targeted sound optimisation in conjunction with sensitising the student to their own instrument can resolve the blockages. In the subsequent workshop, there is the opportunity to experience how one's own playing range and that of the instrument can be expanded.
